What is Integrative-Arts?
• Art Therapy is a therapeutic approach that utilises the power of creativity to promote emotional healing and personal growth. It involves the process of self-expression through artistic methods and can be a valuable tool in understanding ourselves, embodied feelings and behaviours.
By engaging in artistic methods and reflecting on the creative outcomes, individuals can uncover deep-seated emotions and confront emotional challenges. This process aids in alleviating symptoms of anxiety and depression, curbing detrimental habits, navigating through thoughts and emotions, and bolstering self-esteem and motivation.
What creative methods can be used?
• Through a variety of creative options such as:
Sand tray work | Post cards & Art Making | Poetry | Movement & Therapeutic work with the body | Clay-Work & Music.
Individuals are provided with the chance to delve into their inner thoughts, feelings, and experiences in a secure and expressive manner, depending on the clients' choice to embark on this creative journey using one of the aforementioned modalities.
This therapeutic approach recognises the interconnectedness of the mind, body, and spirit, and aims to integrate these aspects to improve overall health.
